FAQs - Diseases

Do I have arthritis in my feet?

Arthritis is an inflammation of the joints. Since your feet and ankles have over 30 of them, it is common for the disease to appear there. Other conditions can mimic arthritis, so a thorough evaluation of your feet and ankles by Dr Khanh Le is critical to determine the cause of your discomfort.

If you have symptoms like stiffness and swelling in the joint, tenderness or pain, difficulty bearing weight on your foot, and redness or warmth, you are a likely candidate. Arthritis commonly develops after an injury to the area, from hereditary causes, or from work or sports that cause a lot of wear and tear on the feet. Certain diseases and medications can also be factors.

Many treatments are available, so you don’t have to live a life of pain and limited mobility. Contact The Plateau Foot & Ankle Clinic at (425) 868-3338 for the best foot care in the Sammamish, Bellevue, Issaquah, and Redmond areas, and put yourself on the course to healing.
